and<\/p>\n<p>e)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0wire range rated equipment wiring terminals.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>1.2 These requirements apply to field wired equipment wiring terminals which are an integral part of the equipment, or are intended for use in specific equipment.<\/p>\n<p>1.3 This Standard is intended for equipment wiring terminals suitable for use with conductors in the size ranges as follows:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>a)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Aluminum<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a012 AWG (3.3 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) and 10 AWG (5.3 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) solid; and<\/p>\n<p>2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a012 AWG (3.3 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) to 2 000 kcmil (1 010 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) stranded, Class B concentric, compressed, and compact.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>b)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Copper-Clad Aluminum<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a012 AWG (3.3 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) and 10 AWG (5.3 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) solid; and<\/p>\n<p>2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a012 AWG (3.3 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) to 2 000 kcmil (1 010 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) stranded, Class B concentric.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>c)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Copper<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a030 AWG (0.05 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) to 10 AWG (5.3 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) solid; and<\/p>\n<p>2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a030 AWG (0.05 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) to 2 000 kcmil (1 010 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) stranded, Class B concentric and compressed, and Class C concentric.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>d)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Compact-stranded copper conductors for 2 AWG (33.6 mm<sup>2<\/sup>) and larger.<\/p>\n<p>e)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Rigid (solid and stranded) metric wire falling within the ranges of the above AWG sizes.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<i>Note: For example, an equipment wiring terminal rated for 6 AWG  &#8211;  250 kcmil may be additionally rated for 16  &#8211;  120 mm<sup>2<\/sup>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>f)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Other class and strand configurations as indicated by marking.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>1.4 This Standard is intended for equipment wiring terminals suitable for currents not exceeding the ampacity of insulated conductors rated 75\u00b0C or 90\u00b0C in accordance with the rating of the equipment wiring terminal, if provided.<\/p>\n<p>1.5 This Standard does not apply to:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>a)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0insulated equipment wiring terminals;
