{"id":270570,"date":"2024-10-19T18:07:48","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T18:07:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-15954-22013\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T14:16:53","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T14:16:53","slug":"bs-en-15954-22013","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-15954-22013\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 15954-2:2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This European Standard specifies the technical requirements to deal with the significant hazards, hazardous situations and events, common to trailers, as defined in the scope of EN 15954-1, including machinery, attachments and equipment permanently fixed to the trailer, intended for construction, maintenance and\/or inspection of the railway infrastructure, emergency rescue and recovery.<\/p>\n<p>This European Standard specifies the technical requirements to deal with the common hazards during transport, assembly and installation, commissioning, running on track, use (including setting, programming, and process changeover), operation, cleaning, fault finding, maintenance and de-commissioning of the trailers when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer; see Clause 4.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>NOTE Specific measures for exceptional circumstances are not dealt with in this European Standard. They can be the subject of negotiation between manufacturer and the machine operator.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The common hazards dealt with include the general hazards presented by the trailers, as well as the hazards presented by the following specific trailer functions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>track renewal;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>rail maintenance;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>craning;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>catenary renewal \/ maintenance;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>maintenance of the components of the infrastructure;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>inspection and measurement of the components of the infrastructure;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>tunnel inspection \/ ventilation;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>emergency rescue and recovery<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>during commissioning, use, maintenance and servicing.<\/p>\n<p>This European Standard applies to trailers that are not intended to operate signalling and control systems. Other similar machines are dealt with in other European Standards; see Annex D.<\/p>\n<p>It is assumed that a finished standard automotive chassis used as a host for a road-rail trailer will offer an acceptable safety level for its designed functions before conversion. This specific aspect is not dealt with in this European Standard.<\/p>\n<p>This European Standard does not deal with:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\">\n<li>\n<p>requirements with regard to the quality of work and the performance of trailers;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>specific requirements established by a railway infrastructure manager;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>negotiations between the manufacturer and the trailer operator for additional or alternative requirements;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>requirements for use and running of the trailer on public highway;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>hazards due to air pressure caused by the passing of high-speed trains at more than 200 km\/h;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>requirements which could be necessary in case of use in extreme conditions, such as:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<p>extreme ambient temperatures (below \u2013 20\u00b0C or above + 40\u00b0C);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>highly corrosive or contaminating environment, e.g. due to the presence of chemicals;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>potentially explosive atmospheres.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>This European Standard applies to all trailers that are ordered one year after the publication date by CEN of this standard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Railway applications.
