Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.1 These test methods cover the determination of the in-place density of unhardened and hardened concrete by gamma radiation. For notes on the nuclear test see Appendix X1.<\/p>\n

1.2 Two test methods are described, as follows:<\/p>\n

Section Test Method A—Direct Transmission 7 Test Method B—Backscatter 8 <\/p>\n

1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The SI equivalents of inch-pound units may be approximate.<\/p>\n
