Für den Transport großer und/oder schwerer Lasten werden häufig mehrere Krane/Katzen im Tandembetrieb eingesetzt. Hierfür können einzelne Kranführer zusammen mit einer Aufsichtsperson eingesetzt werden. Die Entwicklung der Technik der Kransteuerungen und Datenübertragungssystemen ermöglicht heute aber auch die funktechnische Kopplung mehrerer Kransteuerungen, sodass diese von einem Steuerpult aus bedient werden können. Hieraus ergeben sich besondere Gefährdungen und entsprechende Anforderungen an die Steuerung, die in der Richtlinie beschrieben werden. Die zum Tandembetrieb zusammengefassten Krane sind als eine Maschine zu betrachten. Die beschriebenen Anforderungen sind auch bei der Umrüstung von Kranen zu berücksichtigen.*www.vdi.de/4467
