Scope

This document provides a guide to the features and typical characteristics that are expected of interior clear coatings for timber floors when applied by brush or applicator (pad/lambswool) in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Products complying with this Standard may be one of the following types:
Type 1 – Single-pack solvent-based oxidising tung oil-based.
Type 2 – Single-pack solvent-based or solvent-free moisture cure urethane.
Type 3 – Two-pack solvent-based or solvent-free polyurethane.
Type 4 – Water-based.
Paints satisfying the requirements of this guide are equivalent to paint Type B19, B19A, B20 or B43 of AS/NZS 2311, Table 4.1.
