This Part does not directly<br \/>\nimpact CDPD subscribers or Mobile End System (M-ES)<br \/>\nmanufacturers.<\/p>\n<p>This Part assumes that the reader is familiar with CDPD in<br \/>\ngeneral, as presented in Part 100. Part 100 provides a<br \/>\ncomprehensive glossary of CDPD terms. References to non-CDPD<br \/>\ndocuments, shown in square brackets (<i>e.g.,<\/i> [CCITT-X.400]),<br \/>\nare also listed in Part 100, which provides a complete CDPD<br \/>\nbibliography.<\/p>\n<p>The 600 series of the CDPD System Specification defines the<br \/>\nnetwork support services within the CDPD Network. CDPD is a<br \/>\ncommercial public mobile data communications network, and as such,<br \/>\nmust provide additional services beyond those used by subscribers<br \/>\nto allow successful operation of the network.
