{"id":568533,"date":"2024-11-05T19:10:47","date_gmt":"2024-11-05T19:10:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/iec-60974-12017\/"},"modified":"2024-11-05T19:10:47","modified_gmt":"2024-11-05T19:10:47","slug":"iec-60974-12017","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/iec\/iec-60974-12017\/","title":{"rendered":"IEC 60974-1:2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This part of IEC 60974 is applicable to power sources for arc welding and allied processes designed for <strong>industrial and professional use<\/strong>, and supplied by a voltage not exceeding 1 000 V, battery supplied or driven by mechanical means.<br \/>\nThis document specifies safety and performance requirements of welding power sources and <strong>plasma cutting systems<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThis document is not applicable to limited duty arc welding and cutting power sources which are designed mainly for use by laymen and designed in accordance with IEC 60974-6.<br \/>\nThis document includes requirements for battery-powered welding power sources and battery packs, which are given in Annex O. <br \/>\nThis document is not applicable to testing of power sources during periodic maintenance or after repair.<br \/>\nThis fifth edition cancels and replaces the fourth edition published in 2012 and constitutes a technical revision.<br \/>\nThe significant changes with respect to the previous edition are the following:<br \/>\n\u2013 improvement of Figure 1 (6.1.1);<br \/>\n\u2013 modification of Table 3 (6.1.4);<br \/>\n\u2013 description of energy efficiency measurements in Annex M;<br \/>\n\u2013 inclusion of battery supplied welding power sources in the scope.
