{"id":270934,"date":"2024-10-19T18:09:34","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T18:09:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-139132003\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T14:21:18","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T14:21:18","slug":"bs-en-139132003","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-139132003\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 13913:2003"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This European Standard defines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>characteristics that elastomer-based mechanical parts shall achieve, together with applicable inspection and test methods to be carried out for verification;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>approval procedure to be implemented by the customer;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>guidelines for qualification of the product with specified requirements;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>quality monitoring of elastomer-based mechanical parts in manufacture.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This European Standard applies to elastomer-based mechanical parts designed to be fitted on railway vehicles and similar vehicles running on dedicated tracks with permanent guide systems, whatever the type of rail and the running surface.<\/p>\n<p>Typical applications of elastomer-based mechanical parts include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>vehicle suspension systems;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>equipment mounting systems;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>joints (e.g.: end-mountings of dampers, elastomer-based bearings, elastomer-based parts used on mechanical couplings);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>limit stops.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These parts can be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>made entirely of elastomer, operating on their own or in combination with other elastic parts;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>made up of elastomer and other materials, adherent together or not.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This European Standard does not apply to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>rubber diaphragms for pneumatic suspension springs;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>elastic parts of buffing and drawgear springs;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>diaphragms, bellows and seals;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>hoses and tubings;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>transmission belts.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><b>Railway applications.
