Description

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies vaporizers for home use (hereafter referred to as "apparatus") used with water or 1 % salt solution as the inhalant in use for other than hospitals and clinics.

Moreover, this Standard applies to the single-phase apparatus with the rated voltage of 100 V and the apparatus internally powered by the safety extra-low voltage (SELV).

— ultrasonic vaporizers for home use;

— electric vaporizers for home use;

— electrothermal vaporizers for home use.

This Standard does not apply to the following apparatuses:

— When an unexpected situation happens during sleep, etc., the apparatus used under the condition where the user can not go into action to avoid danger;

— The apparatus used simultaneously by multiple persons.

Moreover, JIS T 2010 : 2005 may be applied until July 28th, 2014.
