Description

This Standard specifies the large diameter welded stainless steel pipes (hereafter referred to as the "pipes") for corrosion resistance, low temperature service, high temperature service, etc.

This Standard shall generally apply to the pipes of 165b mm to 1 016 mm in outside diameter.

In addition to the items specified in this text, the supplementary quality requirements which the purchaser may designate upon the previous agreement with the manufacturer are specified in Annex JA.

NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.

ISO 9330-6 : 1997 Welded steel tubes for pressure purposes – Technical delivery conditions – Part 6 : Longitudinally welded austenitic stainless steel tubes (MOD)

In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
